SMV engineering strive constantly to achieve an effective and project orientated organisation in order to meet the clients requirements by utilising the most qualified resources.

In order to achieve this, we retain a nucleus of experienced multi discipline personnel capable of completing in-house engineering. Special attention being given to keeping up to date with the latest technical developments, flexibility, and achieving a rapid response.

Our engineers are experienced in both design engineering and operational support. These two areas are complementary to each other when finalising a design or operational solution.

COMPANY HISTORY

SMV was originally established as Skurve Mekaniske Verksted in 1972 to serve the growing Norwegian offshore industry.

With offices ideally situated at Sotra, adjacent to the main offshore supply base, SMV engineering a.s was established in 1986 under new management to complement the fabrication and construction industry.

Today the company has office in Bergen.
Many of our employees have worked directly for oil companies, both onshore and offshore, thus giving us first hand knowledge of the operating companies working practices, their requirements, and the problem areas to be dealt with during both the project development phase and later in the production phase.
